As the global COVID-19 pandemic continues to impend our lives, Neighbors Keeper Home Health remains firmly focused on promoting the safety and well-being of our clients, their family members, staff and the community at large.
Covid 19 Prevention and Safety Protocols as established by the CDC, DHHS, the State and other local Health Authorities are incorporated and enforce within our protocols of care. We are actively and constantly adapting our standard as new measures and protocols are published. Our goal is to keep not only our clients and staff safe and healthy but to contribute our quota to the safety and wellbeing of the entire community.
Control protocols remain in place:
Clients
- Constant/ongoing education on Covid 19
- Health Screening during visits
- Education on frequent handwashing
- Used of approved hand sanitizers in between handwashing
- Cleaning of surfaces and environment frequently
- Maintain self distancing at least 6ft
- Wear mask
- Avoid handshakes
- Report unusual pain, higher temperature greater than 101, loss of smell/taste, fatigue, headache, nausea and vomiting
- Call Primary Care Physician when in doubt
Staff
- Constant and ongoing education on signs and symptoms of Covid 19
- Increase handwashing inservices and practices
- Frequent temperature checks
- Inservices on cleaning work environment
- Recognizing signs and symptoms of Covid 19 in clients
- Provision of Protective Personal Equipment (appropriate mask, personal hand sanitizer, gloves, gown, goggles as warranted)
